Photos

Sorry that some of the photos aren't showing up. I'm not sure why. I've posted most of them to Facebook. Because of the issues I'm having with the photos, I'm thinking that I might be done blogging and will just be posting things to Facebook from now on. It's just a thought that occurred to me today so I'm not totally committed yet but am strongly leaning that way.

The Alamo

After the Chinese Tea Gardens we went to see inside the Alamo. When we first walked in it looked like an empty church. There were some displays which Daniel read but I was more worried about keeping the kids quiet.

Our first stop in San Antonio was the Chinese Tea Garden.

After leaving Austin, we continued our drive south to San Antonio.

Our first stop on our southern tour of Texas was Austin.

Icy Morning

We got up this morning to head south to see Austin and San Antonio. Had we not, we probably would have missed the beauty of this icy morning.
 

Dallas Art Walk part 2

The Art Walk continued but we decided to take a short cut. It was cold and we were freezing.

We wanted to see Dallas but weren't really certain what to do. After looking on the internet for a bit we decided to do the Dallas Art Walk and see where John F Kennedy was shot.

New Years Day

We woke up quite early for a New Years Day. Aidan spent a bit of time staring out the window waiting for AnaLyn to come over since she was staying at her great-grandparents house. While we were looking out the window we saw a large grey bird in the field.

New Years Eve

Today we spent the morning just hanging out at the house and then went to a nearby town to have lunch with Debra and then do some shopping at the outlets. Daniel needed some clothes and I wanted to find some boots for Eliana.

After we got back, Daniel & Trever went out to pick up some fireworks. My only request, which was laughed at, was a tank. I remember these from when I was younger and lived in Utah.

Outside the Grundens

Since we arrived at dark, we didn't see the house or the surrounding area very well. The kids were thrilled not to be in the car and even though it was cold went out to ride their bikes.

On the road - Day Two

This morning we saw Texas for the first time in daylight.
